Meet James Beckwith
James Beckwith is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Five Star Bank and its holding company, Five Star Bancorp. He came to Five Star Bank in 2003 with over 20 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Five Star Bank, James served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for National Bank of the Redwoods, in Santa Rosa, California. James graduated from San Francisco State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. James serves on the boards of Valley Vision, LEED (Linking Education & Economic Development), Sacramento Metro Chamber, and Community Bankers of California.

Meet Eric Woodstrom
Eric Woodstrom joined Five Star Bank in December of 2006 as the President, Northern Valley Region in Redding California. He brings over 25 years of commercial lending and banking experience to Five Star Bank, the last eight years in Northern California as an executive officer of a Redding based bank. Eric leads Five Star Bank’s expansion into the Northern end of the Sacramento Valley with the opening of a full service banking office during March of 2008 in Redding. He is active in the Redding community through involvement on various citizens committees, Redding East Rotary, youth/amateur sports organizations and Scouting. Eric is a Sacramento area native and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in financial management from California State University, Long Beach.

Meet Jon Blackstad
Jon Blackstad joined Five Star Bank in 2009 as the South Valley Region President. He is responsible for the development of business banking relationships throughout the Capital Region. He has more than 17 years of community banking experience working as Chief Operating Officer at Stockman’s Bank and, most recently, as Senior Vice President/Regional Administrator at PremierWest Bank which purchased Stockman’s in 2008. Jon sits on the Board of Directors at Capital Christian Center, the Board of Trustees at William Jessup University, the Board of Directors for Youth for Christ Ministries, and the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the National Association of Evangelicals. He is also a part of the Golden Empire Boy Scouts of America Golf Committee, the Breathe California Annual Holiday Fundraising Committee, and is an Honorary Board Member of the Sacramento Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.

Meet Mike Lee
Mike Lee joined Five Star Bank in 2005 as its Chief Financial Officer bringing over 14 years of bank regulatory experience with the FDIC. In 2007, Mike transitioned to the position of Chief Credit Officer, where he oversaw all administrative functions related to lending. Beginning in 2010, he was appointed as Chief Regulatory Officer, responsible for developing and managing all compliance, audit and examination programs, including Enterprise-wide Risk Management. In 2009 he graduated with honors from the Pacific Coast Bankers Graduate School of Banking in Seattle, Washington. Prior to that he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from Midwestern State University in Texas.

Meet Krista Snelling
Krista Snelling is the Chief Financial Officer of Five Star Bank and its holding company, Five Star Bancorp. She came to Five Star in 2009 bringing more than 12 years of financial services and public accounting experience. Prior to joining Five Star Bank, Krista was the Chief Financial Officer of the Hanson McClain group of companies and was Senior Vice President, Controller of Placer Sierra Bank based in Auburn, CA. Krista also spent six years serving audit clients across multiple industries while working in the Sacramento offices of Arthur Andersen and KPMG. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Krista graduated from the University of California at Davis where she earned a Master of Arts in Economics and from the University of the Pacific where she earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Mathematics and Economics. Krista is a Sacramento native and serves on the boards of the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services and reCREATE, a Roseville-based nonprofit that works with local businesses to collect unwanted items, or industrial by-products, for use in environmental conservation lessons, art and creative expression for children.

Jack Dalton joined Five Star Bank in 2011 as a SVP, Chief Credit Officer. Jack has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Before coming to Five Star Bank he was with PremierWest Bank where he worked as Sr. VP/Region Credit Administrator and prior to that, Stockmans Bank where he worked as Sr. VP/Chief Credit Officer. Jack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Meet Michael Rizzo
Mike joined Five Star Bank in 2005 and is the driving force behind the bank’s focus on Emerging Business Banking. With 20 years of experience in the banking industry, Mike’s focus is on venture-funded and angel-funded companies in technology, life sciences and clean energy. He enjoys helping clients realize their envisioned success. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Sacramento. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Mike serves on the board of SARTA, and is involved in several groups in the capital region that support the emerging markets.

Meet Jason Saslow
Jason Saslow joined Five Star Bank in 2003 as a Business Development Officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in Marketing and Management in the greater Sacramento area. Jason’s expertise covers all aspects of commercial lending, business banking and deposit relationships. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University, Sacramento and a Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate and serves on the Development Committee for SACTO.

Meet Todd Sorensen
Todd Sorensen joined Five Star Bank in 2011 as a Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer with over 20 years experience specializing in commercial banking and wealth management. Most recently Todd worked with a local company using his financial services skills creating a private equity fund to help property owners obtain interim financing. Todd earned his M.B.A. in Strategic Management and a B.S. in Finance and Management at California State University, Sacramento. Todd is a Sacramento native and is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento and serves on the Board of Directors of Sacramento Child Advocates.

Meet Stephanie Petrakos
Stephanie Petrakos joined Five Star Bank in 2006 as a Management Trainee. Since then, she has gained experience in branch operations, loan file maintenance, commercial underwriting, and business development. She is now a Vice President, Credit Administrator, and assists with the administration of the Bank’s loan portfolio. Stephanie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in Marketing and Management from California State University, Sacramento. She is also a graduate of Commercial Lending School hosted by California Bankers Association.

Mark Lepp joined Five Star Bank in 2010 as a Vice President, Business Development Officer specializing in commercial banking. Mark has more than 6 years experience in the commercial banking industry and is responsible for originating commercial real estate loans and building deposit relationships in the South Valley Region. Most recently Mark held the position of VP/ Branch Manager at PremierWest Bank in Elk Grove. Prior to his banking career Mark managed various sales & marketing teams in California and Washington. He is currently enrolled in the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Mark is a member of the Elk Grove Rotary Club and holds executive board positions at Teen Center USA as well as Northgate Church of Elk Grove. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and Project Ride.

Meet Julie Yarbrough
Julie Yarbrough joined Five Star Bank in 2011 as a Vice President, Mortgage Originations. In her role she works with conventional loan clients and to originate portfolio home loans. Julie has more than 20 years experience in many facets of real estate lending and has worked as a residential and commercial escrow officer, residential loan officer, and regional sales manager. Most recently, she served as President of Gateway Capital Mortgage, a commercial and residential lender, which she founded with two business partners. Julie is active with Children’s Miracle Network and is currently President of Business Networking International (BNI) Fortune Builders Chapter, Citrus Heights. She also serves as Vice President of Female Professionals in Finance (FPF), a professional mastery group.

Marcy Sutcliffe joined Five Star Bank in 2012 as a Vice President and Business Development Officer. She is responsible for the development of business banking relationships in the Chico/Butte County region. Marcy has more than 30 years of banking experience in retail operations, mortgage lending, and commercial lending and management. Most recently she worked as a Commercial Regional Manager for Rabobank, N.A. Marcy has been active in organizations like the Quota Club, the Rotary Club, and The Boys and Girls Club. She supports various local community organizations and non-profits which contribute to the economic success of the area and represents Five Star Bank within the Chico Economic Planning Corp and the Chico Chamber of Commerce.

Steve Garland joined Five Star Bank in 2012 as a Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer. He is responsible for the development of agricultural and commercial real estate banking relationships throughout northern California. Steve has held various positions in banking and finance including posts as a business banking manager and finance director. Most recently, Steve worked for Golden Pacific Bank in Sacramento. Steve earned his B.S. from University of the Pacific and attended the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He is currently enrolled in the Agricultural Lending Institute at CSU Fresno. Steve sits on the board of directors at Project Go, Inc. and Fresh Producers.
