Jack Dalton Named Five Star Bank Chief Credit Officer, Mike Lee Promoted to Chief Regulatory Officer
SACRAMENTO, CA – Five Star Bank is pleased to announce that Jack Dalton has joined the organization as Chief Credit Officer (CCO). Mike Lee, Five Star Bank’s former CCO, has been named Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO).
Dalton, who has lived in Galt for past 30 years, has been in banking since 1980. He came to Five Star Bank from PremierWest Bank where he worked as Sr. VP/Region Credit Administrator. Prior to that, he worked as Sr. VP/Chief Credit Officer at Stockmans Bank. His banking career began at the Farm Credit/California Livestock Production Credit Association where he worked as a Sr. VP in the credit department.
“I’ve known Jack for several years in his capacity as Chief Credit Officer of Stockmans Bank and have admired his work,” said Five Star Bank President and CEO, James Beckwith. “Jack will be a great resource to the Bank, the lenders, and our Business Development team.”
Dalton holds a B.S. in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He will work out of the Sacramento Business Office in Natomas. He will also serve on the Bank Management’s Executive Committee.
The need for a new CCO arose from the promotion of Mike Lee to Chief Regulatory Officer.
“With the recent enactment of the sweeping Dodd-Frank legislation and the extremely heightened regulatory environment, the Bank needed to create the position of Chief Regulatory Officer,” said Beckwith. “Mike is incredibly bright and has a tremendous background in compliance. We’re pleased he accepted the challenge.”
Lee will work out of the Rocklin Business Office and will also serve on Bank Management’s Executive Committee.
