Notes from the CEO

Nonprofits: Could you use a financial tune-up?

Five Star Bank was recently named one of the Sacramento Business Journal’s 2010 Partners in Philanthropy. I’m proud to say that our commitment to nonprofits doesn’t stop at financial contributions. We are truly committed to helping our local nonprofit organizations fulfill their mission. It is my hope that our financial expertise can also help them do just that.

On January 26, I will participate in an “Ask the Expert Session” hosted by the Nonprofit Resource Center. We’re calling the session a “Financial Tune-up for the New Year.” There, I’ll be joined by Dave Ljung, C.P.A. from Gilbert Associates, Inc. and we’ll talk to nonprofits about things like financial management, 1099 and Form 990 notification and filing processes, how to find the right financial services provider and more.

Lots of good information will be presented and it will be a great chance for nonprofit leaders to ask questions.  For more information or to register visit the event webpage here: Ask the Expert – Financial Tune-up for the New Year

I hope you’ll join us!
