Studio Sacramento Emmy Win
On Saturday night, I had the pleasure of accompanying KVIE to the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences San Francisco/Northern California Chapter Emmy Awards. There, KVIE’s Studio Sacramento program won the Emmy for Interview/Discussion Category for the human trafficking episode. It was an incredible evening.
According to KVIE President and General Manager David Lowe, “This is the highest form of recognition available for this show. As a local program, the only opportunity to win an EMMY Award is through a regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.”
Studio Sacramento was up against not only other Sacramento stations/programs but those in the Bay Area (the country’s 6th largest television market) as well. It is a huge win for KVIE and for Sacramento.
Five Star Bank is a founding sponsor of this show and this award reinforces our support of this important programming. Congratulations to the team at KVIE and host Scott Syphax on this great achievement.
