Notes from the CEO
Julie Yarbrough Hired as VP/Mortgage Originations
Five Star Bank is pleased to announce that Julie Yarbrough has joined the organization as VP, Mortgage Originations. She is charged with working with conventional loan clients and originating portfolio home loans. Yarbrough will work out of the Rocklin and Natomas business offices.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to bring different lending opportunities to the communities we serve,” said Yarbrough. “To work where I can fund and close construction, jumbo, high-balance, conforming, FHA, conventional and portfolio loans that don’t fit into the proverbial box is very exciting to me.”
A resident of West Sacramento for nearly 3 years, Yarbrough has lived in the Sacramento region since 1999.
Since 1990 she has gained expertise in many facets of the real estate industry, filling roles such as Residential and Commercial Escrow Officer, Residential Loan Officer, and Regional Sales Manager. Most recently, Yarbrough was President of Gateway Capital Mortgage, a Commercial and Residential Lender, which she founded with two business partners.
“I took the opportunity to work with Five Star Bank, because of the unbelievable product pallet. The residential division was started in 2009, and unlike other lenders they want to grow slow and steady,” said Yarbrough. “In addition to lofts, mixed use, construction lending and commercial, I also have the opportunity to build a strong reputable residential department with a company that mirrors my civic and community mentality.”
“In making our lending decisions, I’m able to look beyond the standard computerized underwriting model and look at the person behind the loan application. I look forward to being instrumental in building a successful and profitable Residential Mortgage Division,” she said.
Yarbrough is active with Children’s Miracle Network and Business Networking International (BNI), founding the Fortune Builders chapter, in Citrus Heights where she currently serves as President. She also serves as Vice President of Women in Finance, Female Professionals in Finance (FPF), a professional mastery group.
