Vice President, Credit Card Product Manager
Julio Valenzuela Joined Five Star Bank in 2020 as an Assistant Vice President, Relationship Manager. He soon transitioned to Vice President, Credit Card Product Manager. Mr. Valenzuela has over 24 years of lending and banking industry experience including roles as a Senior Relationship Banker, Licensed Banker and Business Banking Specialist. In 2005, he served as a Supervisory Loan Officer where he processed disaster loan applications at the US Small Business Administration in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. He has been involved with many community groups such as the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (including its Education and Ambassador Committees) and has served as Chair of its Foundation at the Sacramento Business Service Center. It was there that he helped oversee the El Futuro Scholarship Program and the establishment of an endowment to ensure funds for future generations of local students. Mr. Valenzuela has also been a bilingual financial literacy presenter with Opening Doors and the Bank on Sacramento Initiative. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Political Science. He is also a graduate of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Auburn program.
